Adventure World Poacher Peak Expedition: Everything you need to know

The poachers in Adventure World are becoming more sinister by the second, as not only have they tried to steal baby monkeys in the Poacher Problem! Expedition, but they're now trying to poach albino Rams for their horns! In a second poaching Expedition - Poacher Peak - you're sent up the mountain to help save the Rams and hopefully put an end to the poachers activities. To start, you'll need 1,150 Supplies, and three each of Food, Fuel and Water. You'll have a three day time limit to complete this Expedition, so let's get started!

Stop the Horn Poachers!

Use four Ram Horns to Blast the Path
Ask friends for 8 Black Dye
Use the 8 Dyes on the Freed Albino Rams

This Expedition is a bit complicated, as you'll need to spend some time waiting for your friends to send you items - in this case, the Black Dye. Since the poachers only want the horns of albino Rams, what better way to throw them off of the trail than to dye our albino Rams black, making their horns seem worthless? First, you'll need to find the Rams tied to stakes around the map. Once you click on them, they'll be freed, and you'll need to dye them to black once you start collecting the dye vials from friends. As for the Ram Horns, these are found near precarious sections of the mountain. By activating them, you'll destroy sections of rocks leading to the poachers tents, and will destroy the tents themselves.

I Spy with My Little Eye

Use 6 Scopes to Learn What the Poachers were Surveying
Use the Poacher Map to Pinpoint their Hidden Lair

Scopes are scattered throughout the map, sometimes hidden behind clouds or just blocked by debris and other obstacles. Once you activate them, you'll see what looks to be the entrance to a mine, containing (again, we're assuming) shiny blue gemstones. Perhaps that's what the poachers were really after all along!

Ghost of a Chance

Activate the 4 Film Projectors to set up Ghost Illusions
Activate the 4 Fog Machines to complete Ghost Illusions

As one final attempt to scare the poachers off for good, why not set up film reels containing massive goats to scare them off? Yeah, it's a pretty silly mission, but it's also fairly easy to complete, as the items are located in pairs around the map, so once you find one, the other item isn't far off.

All in all, the biggest portion of the length of this particular Expedition will likely come in waiting for your friends to send you Black Dye. You can find a vial of dye located in the poacher's main camp as well, so make sure to grab that as you go along for a freebie. Either way, you've got three days to finish off this particular Expedition, so just be vigilant in using your energy each time you build some back up and you should do fine. Good luck!

Have you already started on this Poacher Peak Expedition? What do you think of it, compared to the many other Expeditions we've taken a look at so far?

Adventure World Crash Site Expedition: Everything you need to know

Being based in the middle of the jungle is a precarious situation in Adventure World, and it looks like that might have finally taken its toll on one of your teammates. While trying to deliver cargo way out here in the jungle, an Adventure Society plane has crashed, giving us a new Expedition where we'll investigate the crash site. Appropriately enough, this Expedition is called "The Crash Site," and you'll have five days to complete it. You'll need 700 Supplies, along with two each of Food, Fuel and Water before you can begin your search for survivors, but once you have that, you'll also be able to add five friends in on this Expedition for bonus energy. Let's get started.

Recover the Cargo

    Defeat two Bushmaster Snakes
    Speak to the Pilot
    Recover Zoey's Supply Crate

Upon entering this Expedition, we learn that the pilot has survived the crash, but is now trapped on a map full of debris, snakes and fire. The supplies he was bringing were apparently very valuable, so after you make sure he's alright (he's only a few energy away from the start of the map), you'll need to go after that cargo. Of course, the cargo isn't in as nice a location, being up a mountain at the back of the map, requiring either lots of debris removal (and fighting with snakes) or grapples, which are purchased for 1,000 coins each.

Only You Can Prevent Jungle Fires

    Find Professor McGillicuddy's Fire Extinguisher
    Extinguish 10 Fires

As the plane apparently exploded upon impact, fire spread throughout the jungle, and if you leave it unchecked, it will surely spread! You'll need to find the Fire Extinguisher, which is located toward the right of the map, and then backtrack through the various areas of the map putting out 10 fires.

Plant the Flares

    Ask friends for 9 Flares
Place a Flare on the First Peak
Place a Flare on the Second Peak
Place a Flare on the Third Peak

Here, you'll need to ask your friends for Flares through a general news item posted on your wall. Once you start collecting flares, you'll need to travel to the far ends of the map, and climb the mountains located there. Remember the mountain where Zoey's Cargo sits? Keep climbing a few steps more and you'll see one such Flare Peak, as seen below.

All told, this particular Expedition wouldn't be so hard, but some of the debris requires three of more energy each to remove, and the Grapple segments could seriously drain your in-game wallet, if you choose to go those routes. If not, you're looking at spending even more energy combating snakes and debris that block the other paths. Plus, you're also stuck waiting for friends to send you items, and if they never come, you'll never be able to finish this Expedition without Adventure Cash. Either way, we wish you luck with completing this one - hopefully you'll be able to rescue the pilot and put out those fires before the entire jungle burns down!

What do you think of this Crash Site Expedition? Is it easier than it looks, or are you happy we've been given a full five days to complete it?

Adventure World Snake Den Expedition: Everything you need to know

While you may have already completed the Crash Site Expedition in Adventure World, and retrieved Zoey's cargo from the downed plane, apparently the debris trail went on farther than we first thought. Or so, that seems to be the case in another new Expedition added to the game this week: Snake Den. The Snake Den Expedition requires 700 Supplies, and two each of Food, Fuel and Water to access. Once started, you'll have five days to finish this Expedition, but you'll also be able to bring in five of your friends to speed things along. Let's get to it!

Snake Hunt

    Defeat 10 Snakes
    Collect Oil Drums
    Collect Food Pallet

Apparently, snakes will eat anything you put in front of them, as they started munching on your lost cargo as soon as this particular section of the plane landed in their den. You'll know if a snake has a piece of cargo by looking for a lump in their throat. The Food Pallet, meanwhile, is located towards the top of the map, blocked by more snakes or debris. Finally, the Oil Drums are found near a Blue Trap and the water.

Great White

    Defeat Great White
    Collect Zoey's Crate
    Collect five Jade Vases

The leader of this snake pack is called the Great White, and he gets that name from his body's color. He's not only swallowed a piece of cargo, but he's also sitting right next to Zoey's Crate on the far right side of the map. For the Jade Vases, these are scattered throughout the map, as usual, guarded by snakes, blocked by debris or even by traps.

Seal It Up

    Collect 8 TNT from Snakes
Place TNT near Snake Den Entrance
    Ask for 15 Detonator Caps
Use Plunger to Seal the Snake Den

In this particular quest is where we find the time consuming element of this Expedition, as you'll need to wait for your friends to send you the Detonator Caps via individual requests. Meanwhile, you'll find that the Snakes have also swallowed TNT. After you've collected all of the necessary pieces, you can place TNT in multiple locations on the edge of the crash site. You may not be able to clear the debris entirely out of the jungle, but you can at least stop snakes from eating any more of it.

When you finish this quest, you will have finished this fairly straightforward Expedition. Snakes require multiple energy to kill, and of course you'll need to rely on your friends to finish the third quest, with both elements adding to the overall time it will take you to complete this one. Still, with a five day time limit, you'll likely be able to finish all three with time still on the clock. Good luck!

What do you think of this Snake Den Expedition? Did you like this side-quest set concerning the crashed plane, or would you rather stick to the main story of opening El Dorado?

Adventure World Cave of Doom Expedition: Everything you need to know

Over the past two days, we've brought you a look at two of the three new Indiana Jones-themed Expeditions in Zynga's Adventure World. Now, we're ready to finish off this new trio, and not a moment too soon, as Indy himself will be showing up in the game any day! This third Expedition is called The Cave of Doom, and it has us searching for one last Standing Stone in the middle of a cave.

The particular Expedition has a three day time limit, and requires 575 Supplies to begin. You'll also need two each of Food, Fuel and Water. Once you start, you'll learn that the cave you entered way back at the beginning of the game (in the Prologue Quests) is actually a lot bigger than you thought. We're returning here now to find the lost Standing Stone, but remember - watch out for spiders!

Rub That Stone!

    * Solve the First Puzzle to drop the West Wall
    * Solve the Second Puzzle to drop the East Wall
    * Push the Stone Halves Together
    * Take a Rubbing of the Standing Stone

For this Expedition, you're dealing with tons of puzzles, right from the start. The two pieces of this Standing Stone are perched high atop walls in a locked room. The room itself is locked with three more pillars, as seen below. You'll need to solve the Expected "Simon Says" puzzles to drop the two walls, and push various switches and levers along the path to unlock the room itself.

This Expedition also introduces us to torch switches, which block your path with walls. You'll need to press the appropriately colored switches to match the torches and walls you'd like to lower. Sometimes though, there are multiple switches in your path and by pressing the wrong one, you'll normally be confronted by a spider.

Find the Thieves' Documents

    * Recover the First Set of Papers
    * Recover the Second Set of Papers
    * Recover the Third Set of Papers
    * Recover the Fourth Set of Papers

Yet again, a group of thieves has beaten you to the punch with this Standing Stone. They've left a lot of stuff behind, and Professor Allen wants you to collect it so we can learn more about them. According to Allen, they're far too organized to be petty thieves, so we're out to find out just what they're up to. These Papers are found in boxes at various points along the map, blocked by some kind of debris (thorns, spider webs) or a Spike Trap.

Disarm the Thieves' Explosive Traps

    * Get 10 Pliers
    * Collect the Magnifying Glass
    * Disarm 4 Explosives

You'll need to ask your friends to send you the Pliers via individual gift requests. Remember, you have three full days to complete this Expedition, so don't panic at the thought of it just yet. Meanwhile, the Magnifying Glass is found early on (before lowering either of the two walls) at the top of the map, as seen below. The Explosives are found randomly scattered around the map (although you might have to clear some debris out of the way before reaching them), and once you've started gathering pliers, you can simply click on them to disarm them.

After finishing these three quests, you will have successfully completed Cave of Doom and will be ready to greet Indy in the game with open arms. Will we continue to learn more about these Thieves, or will they forever be one step ahead of us? We'll keep bringing you guides to Expeditions and story quests, so keep checking back with us to find out!
